A few better questions for your next home tour
Bring your priorities with you, and leave room for what you have not considered.

A home tour is a chance to connect the listing details with the way a place feels and functions. A short set of questions helps you stay focused without turning the visit into a checklist exercise.
Start with the plan
How would you use each room? Where would everyday belongings go? Which spaces could adapt as your needs change? Take measurements where they matter and ask before photographing private belongings.
Ask what needs verification
Details about improvements, systems and maintenance should be checked through the appropriate records and professionals. Make a note of what is known, what is being represented, and what remains to be confirmed.
Notice the connections
Spend a moment at transitions: entry to living space, kitchen to outdoor area, bedrooms to shared rooms. These connections can shape the way you experience a home every day.
Give yourself a moment afterward
Before the next appointment, write down three things that worked, three open questions, and anything that did not fit your priorities. Clear notes make the next conversation more useful.
